Arvind Kejriwal early life

Arvind Kejriwal has been a very hard working and diligent person since childhood. They used to do the work they had determined to do with full vigor. He was the first child of his parents. He was born on the day of Krishna Janmashtami, due to which all the members of the house used to call him Kanha. Arvind Kejriwal’s entire childhood has been spent in Hisar, Sonipat and Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He did his schooling in Hisar. He was always in school. During school days, he used to be very fond of participating in the drama and Debate. Once his health was very bad, at that time he had to take part in the school debates, regardless of his health, he went to school by wearing a blanket because Bay did not want his team to lose.


Qualification of Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal received a Mechanical Engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur in 1989. Even during college days, Arvind Kejriwal used to participate a lot in drama. At that time, he used his efforts to reveal the plight of the country to everyone at that time. After joining the degree, he joined Tata Steel Company in 1989 as his first job and moved to Jamshedpur. He was bored with his work, so he left that job in 1992 and went to the head of the Tata group and expressed his desire to join his social well-being and do social work. But the head of the Tata group refused him this job, after which he left the Tata company. Later he started preparing for civil services in which he had already cleared the attempt which earned him the IRS post.

Meeting with Mother Teresa was one of the biggest turning points of Arvind Kejriwal’s life

Arvind Kejriwal had heard a lot of praise about Mother Teresa. While he was in Jamshedpur, he heard about Mother Teresa due to which he moved to Kolkata with a desire to work with her. He had very impressed with Mother Teresa’s work in Kolkata and expressed a desire to work with Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa sent him to work at the Kali Ghat Ashram in Kolkata. At that time Arvind Kejriwal worked in his Kali Ghat ashram for about 2 months. He used to help the poor and lack of people under the guidance of Mother Teresa.

Arvind Kejriwal said that meeting with Mother Teresa was one of the biggest turning points of his life.

Personal Life of Arvind Kejriwal

He had a sense of doing something for the country from the very beginning, so when his classmates were thinking of going abroad for their further studies, at that time in their hearts and minds there was only the idea of doing something for the country. That is why he passed the civil services examination so that he could do something for the country. In 1995, he was married to his colleague Sunita Kejriwal at National Administration Institution Mussoorie and National Zillaqar Sansthan, Nagpur. He currently has 2 children. They have two children – a daughter, Harshita, and a son, Pulkit. Arvind Kejriwal is a pure vegetarian and has been a regular practitioner of Vipassana.


The career of Arvind Kejriwal

In 1995, Arvind Kejriwal was appointed Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department. He did his work with utmost sincerity by occupying that position and he believed that if someone in the Income Tax Department works with honesty, then everyone plays with them, but they’re too corruption started spreading its roots.

He believed that transparency is extremely important to remove corruption but the growing roots of corruption started their opposition to corruption right there. It was because of passing the services examination that he was appointed as a Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department, but later in the year 2000, he was given two years’ leave and said that he could join his higher education and return. he will be included from where he left, but a condition was also placed before them. he told that if they do not pass higher education in these 2 years, then the salary of 2 years to be given to them will be withdrawn.

After proving his ability, he returned to service in the year 2002 but for 1 year he did not get any position there. After which he resigned from his post after 18 months. He broke his promise to work continuously for 3 years in his charter. For many years, the administration kept hearing that Arvind Kejriwal should get all the salary he got in his 18 months and the holidays that come in it, which completes 3 years. Due to these differences which Arvind Kejriwal quit his job after taking a loan from some of his friends and giving Rs 9,27,787 rupees of the administration.

Political Carrer of Arvind Kejriwal

After leaving the job from the Income Tax Department, Arvind Kejriwal established an institution called “Parivartan“. Through this institution, he used to help many common people related to the electricity department and income tax department for free. He said that if any government person asks for a bribe from you, then come directly to us, we will help you and get your work done for free. In a year, about 800 people were indirectly assisted by Arvind Kejriwal. He used to help everyone indirectly, the face which was directly visible was his colleague Manish Sisodia.

Movement for Right to Information Act

In the year 2003, he again joined the Income Tax Department and he resigned from his job again to rectify the corruption situation in the country. After that, he joined a completely transformative institution. After seeing increasing corruption in the country, Arvind Kejriwal brought the RTI issue to the public. Under which the people of the country had the right to answer any question from the government about any work being done in the country.

Movement With Anna Hazare

There was no awareness at all about the RTI among the people of the country, which done by Arvind Kejriwal.

A different light was awakened in his heart to do social work, due to which he supported him under the leadership of Anna Hazare to pass the Jan Lokpal bill. During that time, this movement had spread across the country with veterans like Shanti Bhushan, Prashant Bhushan, Santosh Hegde, Kiran Bedi. During this time, he did not even know when he decided to leave the social entity and join politics.

With the growing social process of Arvind Kejriwal and the rising political cloak, Anna Hazare realizes that he is going to occupy the movement started by him. Arvind Kejriwal chose a different path from Anna Hazare and making his own path. But by now Arvind Kejriwal had completely occupied political clan. In the meantime, he created a political party to celebrate the date of the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi on 2 October 2012, and a political party named Aam Aadmi Party.

Aam Aadmi Party

Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, and Manish Sisodia joined this party But later Kumar Vishwas and Ashutosh dissuaded from the party and like Anna Hazare, they too chose a different path.

1. Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stayed with him.

2. By now, politics had taken full hold of Arvind Kejriwal, so in 2013, he had sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi.

3. He resigned as the Chief Minister of Delhi after a tenure of 49 days. But he did not give up and he returned after exactly 1 year with his heavy influence in politics.

He had sworn in as Chief Minister in Delhi again on 14 February 2015, winning 67 out of 70 seats in Delhi elections.


Achievement’s of Arvind Kejriwal

In 2004, he was awarded the Ashoka Fellow Award for Social Participation.

1. He was awarded the Satyendra Dubey Memorial Award in 2005 for his campaign to bring transparency to IIT Kanpur.

2. In 2006, he emerged as an outstanding leader for which he was awarded the Raman Magsaysay Award.

3. In 2006, he was awarded another award. CNN IBN Indian of the Year in Lok Sabha election.

4. He was awarded as Distinguished Student Leadership at IIT Kharagpur in 2009.

5. In 2013, Arvind Kejriwal joined 100 global thinkers “through foreign policy” for his social work.

6. In the year 2014, he was included in the list of influential people of the world by the world’s prestigious Time magazine.


Controversies of Arvind Kejriwal

Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal, who failed to form an alliance with the Congress party in the 2019 elections, issued the party’s manifesto, making the statement that “no Hindu and no Muslim are going to vote for the Congress. Congress leaders did not like this point.

Sandeep Dixit who is one of the senior Congress leaders has filed a complaint on this controversial statement of Arvind Kejriwal. Sandeep Dixit has also demanded against Kejriwal in his complaint that Kejriwal is demanding votes to win elections on a communal basis and dividing people on the basis of religion.
