YouTube is an American online video-sharing platform headquartered in San Bruno, California. Three former PayPal employees-Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim—created the service in February 2005. Google bought the site in November 2006 for US$1.65 billion; YouTube now operates as one of Google’s subsidiaries. FACT#1. YouTube, was launched on 14 February 2005 i.e. on the day of “valentine’s day”. It was made by Steve Chan, Chad Hurley, and Javed Karim. These three friends used to have assembled jobs in PayPal. YouTube was initially a dating website but has become the world’s largest online video site today.
