One such holy pilgrimage is in the plains of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, which is known by the name of “Kainchi Dham”. Neeb Karauri Baba (Neem Karauli) of “Kainchi Dham” is famous all over the world. Devotees of Baba believe that Baba was an incarnation of Hanuman ji. Kainchi Dham, about 65 km from Nainital, has a belief that the person who comes here never returns empty handed. This holy abode of Baba, who is considered to be the incarnation of Shri Hanuman ji, is visited by devotees throughout the year, but every year on 15th June, a huge fair and Bhandara is organized here. Here on this day the foundation day is celebrated in this holy abode. Baba Nib Karori established this ashram in 1964. Baba came here for the first time in 1961 and he along with his old friend Purnanand ji had thought of building an ashram here.

On Baba Ji’s orders, water was brought in a canister from the river flowing below. When it was used to make prasad, the water turned into ghee. Similarly, once Baba Nib Karori Maharaj took his devotee to his destination by making him an umbrella of clouds to save him from the hot summer sun. FACT#6. It is said that Kainchi Dham was established by Baba in the year 1964. There is a small ashram situated in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. The name is- Neem Karoli Baba Ashram. Very quiet, clean place, greenery, peace. Situated on the Nainital-Almora road at an altitude of 1400 meters above sea level, this ashram is popular among religious people as Kainchi Dham. FACT#7. Apple CEO Steve Jobs visited India in 1973. It is said that Jobs had made up his mind to retire, but his thinking changed as soon as he reached Kainchi Dham. Actually, he had come to see Neem Karoli Baba, but Baba had passed away. It is said that Steve Jobs stayed in the ashram for a few days and did meditation and yoga. FACT#9. Neem Karoli Baba was born in Akbarpur village of Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh. Neem Karoli Maharaj’s father’s name was Shri Durga Prasad Sharma. Also, Baba’s childhood name was Lakshmi Narayan Sharma and was told. Baba’s early education was done in Akbarpur village only. Later he turned to spirituality.
FACT#10. Baba’s miracle stopped the rain: During the construction work of Hanumangarhi temple, one day it started raining heavily. The rain was very strong and was not taking the name of stopping. Then Neem Karoli Baba came out and looking at the black water filled clouds towards the sky said, this is very fierce, very fierce! Then looking up, Maharaj Ji removed the blanket from his huge chest with both his hands and spoke with some roar. “Pawan Tanay Bal Pawan Samana”. Just by saying this, the strong winds blew away the clouds and the rain stopped. The sky also became clear due to this miracle of Baba.
FACT#11. Lights lit by Baba’s touch: Once some Women had come to Bhumiyadhar to worship Baba, but that day Baba was not in the ashram. Baba was sitting at the entrance of the motor road. Then all the mothers started thinking of going there for worship and darshan of Baba. But Baba waved him from afar and signaled him to return. Guru Dutt Sharma was also sitting near Baba Ji. Seeing the women disappointed, he prayed to give darshan to Baba. Baba agreed on their request and gave permission to the mothers and asked them to go after worshiping quickly. The women started worshiping but forgot to bring matchsticks for the aarti. The mothers told the problem to Guru Dutt Sharma, who was sitting near Baba, but he was unable to help them. Then Baba took cotton-lined lights in his hands and started waving his hands while saying ‘Thulima Thulima’ and the lights lit up immediately. Everyone was surprised to see this scene.
